The Cellular Epidemic

 Texting while driving is becoming a problem of epidemic proportion, causing thousands of fatalities each year. After conducting detailed research, the problem is very clear: no one knows how to combat the problem. While many agree a program should be implemented from mobile phone companies to block incoming calls and texts while driving, the solution starts with the driver. Distracted Driving Kills

 In 2003, I passed my driving exam and was issued my state driver’s license. It was also the year I purchased my first cell phone. Because I was a novice driver, I made sure I was alert at all times. Texting while driving was the last thing on my mind. Everyone these days have a cell phone. Cell phone allows us to stay connected with our friends and family. Distracted driving can come in a number of different forms and can be very dangerous. While talking on the phone is a distraction itself, texting is what takes a driver’s complete focus off the road.
